Big Changes Coming to Nutrition à la Natalie

I’m going to start this blog post with an honest moment. Recently, I’ve felt a bit intimated and overwhelmed in the blogging world. Although I started this blog as a fun way to share my nutrition knowledge, I sometimes get frustrated because I feel like I don’t always have new ideas or creative recipes. I think this “lost” feeling is really because I love all aspects of nutrition and want to share everything I know with everyone. But I’ve come to the conclusion that I can’t please everyone, and I must hone my nutrition knowledge and skills into one category.

So, I’m going back to my roots! I actually studied Sports Nutrition and Exercise Physiology in grad school, and I want to impart my fitness and nutrition knowledge onto my readers. From this point on, Nutrition à la Natalie will target busy, active adults who want to use food and exercise to live their healthiest life. I think that there is a general confusion about the basic information about healthy eating and working out, and I hope to clear up some of these confusing topics and pave a roadmap for a healthier you.

2) I hope to start incorporating videos into my blog. (I know—welcome to 2015, Natalie!) Sometimes a topic on nutrition or fitness may take 350 words to explain, but it could easily be demonstrated in a 1-minute video.

3) More delicious recipes geared towards busy, active people. My recipes will now feature time saving tips and information about storing methods. I will also provide more recipes that are great for active people and teach you when to eat that food for optimal fitness performance.

I’m really excited about the direction I’ve decided to pursue and the upcoming changes to my writing. Do you have any sports nutrition questions that have just been eating away at you? Leave them in the comments section, and I may address them in a future blog!

    I am so excited for you! I totally understand, it’s hard to feel like you have to be specific because nutrition is such a broad topic & most different aspects are important & interesting! But becoming hyper-focused is really helpful (or so I hear!). I’m right along with you-my grad program is in exercise physiology & wellness & I’m taking as many sports nutrition classes as I can get in since I stupidly didn’t take any in my undergrad dietetics program. Can’t wait to see what is to come 🙂
