Because of that, I think about iron on a daily basis and take iron supplements as part of my daily routine. Most people don’t need iron supplements, and you definitely shouldn’t take them unless prescribed by a doctor.
That’s just one of the things I covered in my latest video, as well as 5 plant-based sources of iron. It is totally possible to get enough iron on a vegan and vegetarian diet, and doing so is so extremely important for any athlete because iron is one of the major carriers of oxygen in the blood. Without enough of it, you’ll feel exhausted!
